Zach Galifianakis is simply one awesomely funny dude. He was the host of this past weekend’s Saturday Night Live. He was without a doubt one of the best hosts in recent memory, consistently bringing on the laughs. In fact, I wish they’d utilized him more during the show, as his bits on the Kissing Family and What Up With That skits were fairly minimal. You can watch the entire episode here, and I’ve included one of my favorite clips below.
Okay, so Saturday Night Live has been a been spotty lately, but they can still hit a solid home run now and then. One of the skits that consistently cracks me up is What Up With That, the fictitious BET talk show that breaks out into song over, and over, and over. Oddly enough, the part that always puts me in stitches is Jason Sudeikis in a hip hop tracksuit… busting out some sweet dance moves. Dude is GENIUS!!!
Things here at Dangerbird Austin off been off to a rocky start this morning, but I have found an instant cure for any case of the Mondays. This past weekend’s offering from Saturday Night Live was one of their strongest episodes in recent memory. Host Neil Patrick Harris brought some much needed energy back to SNL, including on this brilliant sketch where Kristen Wiig plays a spot on Kathie Lee Gifford for this parody of the bizarre fourth hour of the Today Show on NBC. Enjoy!
Although I did not get to see the entire episode, this past weekend’s Saturday Night Live had some hilarious moments that I caught online. VP candidate Sarah Palin appeared in both the opening as well as the Weekend Update, during which Amy Poehler’s rap had us in stitches. The MacGruber sketch with the collapse of the stock market was awesome as well. Hey, it is Monday so kick back and zone out for a few minutes with these clips.
Last night the cast of SNL took over prime time television to bring some laughs to the upcoming presidential election. For those of you who watched the most recent presidential debate (you watched it, right? RIGHT???), you’ll find SNL’s spoof insanely brilliant. From the time limits to McCain and Obama blocking the teleprompter, they nailed it.
