When word started to spread over the weekend that the amazing musician Mark Linkous had committed suicide, I instantly thought back to the times where Sparklehorse’s music touched my life. I can remember watching the video for “Someday I Will Treat You Good” on MTV’s 120 Minutes. I obsessed over 1999’s Good Morning Spider. I was fortunate enough to work Dreamt For Light Years In The Belly Of A Mountain to radio, and filmed a portion of his Bowery Ballroom concert while he was promoting that particular album. He leaves behind an amazing body of work and will definitely be missed. R.I.P. Mark Linkous.
