Last night marked the finale of the television series Lost. We’ve been obsessed with the show throughout each and every season. I don’t want to give away any spoilers for those of you who haven’t watched the final episode yet, but this has been circulating around the interwebs today and is good for a laugh. Enjoy Lost reenacted by cats.

Tomorrow marks the one and only Morrissey’s 51st birthday. There is no questioning the gigantic impact he has had both as a solo artist as well as frontman of the legendary band The Smiths. We will be spinning plenty of Smiths and Mozzer records here at the office all weekend to celebrate. Happy Birthday Moz!!!

Thanks to a Tweet from our good friend Matt Shiv (WOXY), I was reminded that today marks the anniversary of Ian Curtis’ death. Joy Division’s frontman helped lead a music revolution that helped shape the tunes that surround our lives today. He passed away thirty years ago today. I’ll be spinning plenty of Joy Division vinyl here at the office today. R.I.P. Ian.

Although our co-workers in LA get to enjoy the awesomeness of Intelligentsia for their coffee cravings, here in Austin we’ve got a few great spots for our caffeine fix as well. One of Austin’s more well known joints for chowing down on pancakes and sipping on mighty good coffee is the greatness of Kerby Lane Cafe. The provider of their blend of house coffee is the locally owned and operated Third Coast Coffee Roasting Company. If you’ve ever wondered how those coffee beans turn out so tasty, check out this javatastic video about what goes on at Third Coast:

After catching up on a few shows on the DVR last night, I finally got to watch last week’s episode of The Soup. One of the segments included a video they pieced together showing the insane similarities in the storyline and dialogue between Lost and V. Now, I’m a huge Lost fan, and although I haven’t been following V, this is pretty awesome. Enjoy!
