The Dangerbird Austin crew has a little infatuation with zombie movies. When we heard that there was going to be an upcoming zombie series on AMC based on the comic books The Walking Dead, we got a little more than excited. The new show about a zombie apocalypse will debut on Halloween (of course) and will have six one-hour episodes in season one. Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption) serves as writer, director and executive producer. Check out the trailer below and get ready!

One of my favorite shows this summer has been Louie, which features comedian Louis CK. The 30-minute show is on Tuesday nights on FX and it is part stand-up/part scripted story. Each one is hilarious. To catch up, or relive some of your favorite moments, check out the Louie Hulu page.

Yeah Comic Con was last week – but for us folks that didn’t get to attend it (but wish that they could have) there are some highlights floating around the interwebs that you can check out. One of the panels I would have attended would have been for Dexter. I love that show. I’m actually considering re-subscribing to Showtime just so I don’t have to wait for the DVDs to come out via Netflix. Anyway, check out the videos below that show some of the cast and producers talking about the upcoming fifth season that will premiere on September 26.

This is pretty disturbing. As if we needed another reminder of how devastating this whole ordeal is, this website puts the BP oil disaster into a scary perspective. Simply put your zip code in the box to move the spill over to your area on the map. It gives you a better grasp on just how far this has spread.

Yup, the internet just keeps getting better. Thanks to Jeff Klein for brightening my day with this one.
